THE LAST DAYS OF CLARK.K | Theatrical costume
THE LAST DAYS OF CLARK.K is a comedy written by Alberto Ramos Barranco, premiered at Teatro Border in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2023.
As the costume designer and supervisor, my approach was to draw a parallel between Clark K.'s final days and his beginnings, bridging the story's origins and its conclusion. To achieve this, I delved into Clark K.'s first-ever appearance. His journey began in April 1938, when the world was introduced to Superman in comic book form.
The costume design aimed to resurrect Clark K.’s early days in his final moments. This was achieved by faithfully recreating the iconic appearances of each character from their origins or through reinterpretations that honored their essence.
Once the designs were approved, I proceeded to bring them to life. Many pieces were sourced from vintage stores, while others were custom-made to achieve the specific colors or patterns required.
The technical sheets that served as essential guides throughout this process.
A photo shoot was organized to capture the essence of the costumes for promotional materials, such as posters and other visuals.
The costumes were brought to life during the performances at Teatro Border.
